Dr. Mukund Subramanian, Founder, holds a Ph.D. in Cultural and Social Anthropology from Stanford University, where he received the Robert B. Textor Award for Outstanding Anthropological Creativity for his work outlining a method for understanding inter-cultural and cross-cultural identity formation and the capacity for belonging in the contemporary world. Dr. Subramanian was honored and invited as the first South Asian Fellow to the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University in 2003-04 to present and publish his forthcoming book on identity formation in contemporary Japan, with a lens and perspective from modern India, the West, and the globalizing world. The work outlines ways that authentic experience and engagement, emotional intelligence, and innovative modes of recognition are constituted and translated along and across national borders and inter-personal boundaries. Dr. Subramanian has lectured internationally and led seminars at Stanford and Harvard Universities on methodologies for studying globalization and local cultural innovation, diasporas and collective memory, the media mediated age and virtual reality, health and illness, and indigenous knowledge systems. Having lived and worked in Japan for over 13 years, Dr. Subramanian is deeply rooted in his tri-cultural perspective spanning across India and the US.

Brad Satkin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Intercultural Somatics, LLC. (ICS). ICS was established as a platform to bring the best practices of embodiment, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and communication, to leaders facing the current challenges of globalization. ICS acts as a liaison for successful leaders in the somatic corporate consulting field to work in the global business arena.
